        Below are answers to some of the  the most frequent                questions we get asked. If you don't see your question

Our Delivery Areas and Schedule
 
*Please note we DO NOT deliver to Avon, Buxton, Frisco, Hatteras, or Okracoke.  We also do not deliver to the 4x4 area north of the paved area of Corolla.

 

We deliver your wheelchair or walker to DUCK, SOUTHERN SHORES, KITTY HAWK, KILL DEVIL HILLS, NAGS HEAD and SOUTH NAGS HEAD on SATURDAY or SUNDAY.

We offer delivery to  RODANTHE, WAVES AND SALVO on SATURDAYS.

We deliver to COROLLA on SUNDAYS.

We strive to make all of our deliveries and pickups early in the morning so that you can get the most out of your day.   Please choose your delivery day from the calendar upon checkout. 

Where can I access the beach?
When you call us, we do our best to help you locate the best mobility-accessible beach entry point, however, we are not responsible for ensuring that you have an accessible point of entry when you book with us. Ensuring that your rental home and the location you have chosen to rent in is your responsibility and we DO NOT offer refunds in the event that you haven't booked a mobility-friendly home. Please contact your realty company for information on the specific home that you rented. 
 

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer a full refund if you cancel 30 days in advance of your delivery date, minus a nominal booking fee which is non-refundable.

If your vacation is cancelled due to an unforeseen weather event or cut short due to a mandatory evacuation, we offer a refund for any days you were not able to use your beach wheelchair.

Life happens... if your vacation is cancelled due to an unforeseen event, please call us! 

Do you have standard wheelchairs or other mobility items?

Yes, OBX Beach Mobility does offer standard wheelchairs.  Be sure to choose STANDARD wheelchair at checkout for this option!

We also offer BEACH ROLLATORS!  These are walkers outfitted with tires that roll easily on the sand, click Book Now to learn more! 

We do not offer chair lifts, scooters, or motorized wheelchairs.

Do you offer partial
week rental?

While we typically rent for longer periods of 1-2 weeks, we may be able to accommodate your request during the off-peak season (October -April).  During the peak rental season, we only offer full week rentals.  Please reach out to us directly for further information.

Do you require a security deposit?

While we do not require a deposit, a hold of $150 will be placed on your credit card for any damage to the wheelchair.  This hold is released after you safely return the chair so that it may be enjoyed by our next guest!

Is delivery included and where do you deliver?

Yes, your beach wheelchair rental includes free delivery and pickup to and from your vacation home within our rental area.  If you attempt to book in one of the areas to which we don't deliver, your booking will be canceled and your payment refunded.
